Faculty,Staff Email Upgrade

March 17, 2014

The university will be embarking on a comprehensive upgrade of the faculty/staff email system beginning on Wednesday, March 19th at 4:30 p.m.

Significant configuration changes will be made to the university's external Domain Name Services system. These changes may cause the mail system to be unavailable from off-campus for up to 24 hours after 4:30 p.m., March 19, because all Internet Service Providers will need time to update their configuration for Kutztown University email.

That being said, individuals who experience problems sending or receiving emails from off-campus will be able to access Kutztown faculty/staff email using the VPN (Virtual Private Network).  This can be accomplished by going to https://kuconnect.kutztown.edu, logging-in with your standard credentials, and then opening the OWA icon to start an email session (OWA is short for Outlook email Web Access).  Please note that there will be a new OWA sign-on page; however, the email functionality will be the same.

Illustrated, printable instructions can be found at: http://it.office.kutztown.edu/pdf/EmailInstructionsKUConnectVPN.pdf

The IT Help Center will remain open until 10 p.m. on Wednesday March 19th.  If you have questions or need assistance, please contact our IT Help Center at 610-683-1511.
